These are not the “Mar-gits” but young people in Margate, who have been attending comedy club workshops. Treading the boards with stand up, some for the very first time, they exhibit their boom-boom trade and make a name for themselves. Last night, was an evening of truly wonderful stuff: young people making jokes about sex and crime and drugs, rather than actually engaging in the illegal activities that we so often hear about in Thanet.

Credit should also go to Steve Bradshaw, who has inspired so many with his community workshops, after last night’s performance he should be proud.
