Shopping in England is just great. We are spoilt for choice. Morrison’s fish counter never fails to impress me. Fresh Octopus £4.39 a killo, I was paying €14 in Greece! Best of all it’s already been cleaned, so I don’t have to fiddle around and get in a mess with the black ink. Now Im on my laptop finding where I saved the recipe for Χταπόδι κρασάτο.
OK my flat kitchen, here in Margate doesn’t have the same ambiance as the Greek Fish Taverna, or even a pot bubbling on a fishing boat, but the food is going to be just as good.
Time to open that jar of olive paste that I have been saving, just as an appetizer.
